Is there any solution for working with AVRStudio on MAC OSX Platform?

  1. The staff uses AVR Studio for programming. But since AVR Studio is supported only on Windows (and I have a Mac), I was looking for AVR programming in Mac. I downloaded Crosspack AVR.
  2. AVR Studio (AvrStudio.exe). AVR Studio was created by Atmel in order to help developers to efficiently create applications for AVR microcontrollers using C/C++ programming languages. This piece of software comes with a large number of tutorials, which allow the users to get familiar with the application.

i am an embedded sw developer and I am also new on MAC and I would love to be able to migrate totally from windows environment.

Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac Build 7.0 14920 Windows 7 64-bit AVR Studio 4.19 730 After AVR Studio is installed I plug in the USB for the AVRISP mkII, it appears to detect the driver, then I attempt to connect from AVR Studio: Tools -> Program AVR -> Connect.


Please don't suggest to use any type of virtual machines..

I hope that apple read this message and find a solution with ATMEL, PIC and other microcontroller manufactures to bring their working environment (Emulators, Simulators, ...) to the MAC.
