Visual studio The Light version is the Free edition of Skater.NET Obfuscator. The protection tool has been developed to assist you stand guard.NET apps when sending them to other users for both commercial and personal usages. One of those, was the availability of Visual Studio for Mac (VS4Mac). In the beginning, MonoDevelop was the IDE to develop C# on a Mac, which later converted to Xamarin Studio (XS). But since the Build-conference this week, VS4Mac has gone GA which made it the prime IDE for C# developers on MacOS. Since it was released a little more than a year ago, Visual Studio 2017 for Mac has grown from being an IDE primarily focused on mobile application development using Xamarin to one that includes support for all major.NET cross-platform workloads including Xamarin, Unity, and.NET Core.

This document provides a peek into what's next for Visual Studio for Mac. It captures some of the significant features we are currently committed to, and a rough timeframe for when you can expect to see them. It is not a comprehensive list of all new features in Visual Studio for Mac, but is intended to provide some visibility into our key investments. These feature sets and delivery timeframes are current, and are subject to change.
